This article by Don Dahlmann/Gründerszene (in German) gives a good overview of the payment hurdle and underlines our thesis for investing in our portfolio company EcoG. Opening up the charging station to third party developers via an underlying operating system enables applications across all charging stations — with easier and cheaper development. Think of the smartphone world before Android, providing a common ground for developers. It is great to see our portfolio company EcoG making a systemic impact on EV infrastructure!
